How to Make a Card

It’s simple and anyone can do it.

  1. Get your supplies. Use paper, cardstock, or blank cards. Markers, crayons, pens, and colored pencils work great!

  2. Write a message. Share a kind, uplifting, and encouraging message. Keep it general and supportive.

  3. Be creative. Add drawings, quotes, or anything positive.

  4. Send your cards. Mail your completed cards to our address below.

From students and families to workplaces and virtual volunteers, people around the world are coming together to create cards and spread hope.

You can do it alone or you can do it with others!

Card Guidelines

To ensure cards can be shared in inpatient behavioral health facilities, please follow the following guidelines.

KEEP IT POSITIVE

Share messages of hope, encouragement, and kindness.

KEEP IT GENERAL

Avoid using specific gender or religious terms.

NO REMOVABLE ITEMS

Do not include glitter or any sharp removable items (safety requirements).

ALL AGES WELCOME

Cards can be for teens, children, or adults.

HANDMADE

Please include a personal touch (no preprinted cards).

If you are part of a school, organization, or group, and need service hours, please send the form with your completed cards. Allow 3 weeks for processing and receiving the signed form. If you need the hours sooner, please reach out via email.
